But I could tell he felt that it was a bit awkward.” Moore talks with Jia Tolentino during the 2025 New Yorker Festival on Oct. 25 in New York City.The Charlie’s Angels star surmised that Tom might have felt the way he did because other actors weren’t having children at the time, according to People. But Demi didn’t want to have to choose between having a career or being a parent. “It’s one of the many things, for me, that I just felt didn’t make sense. And so I challenged that to say, you know, ‘Why not? Why can’t you have both?’” she added.“But with that, I think, came a lot of pressure I put on myself to, in a sense, prove that it was possible.” Demi told People she worked out intensively during her pregnancy because she felt like she had to get in shape for her role. She said she now looks back at her juggling act and thinks: “What the fuck was I thinking?” “And what was I even trying to prove?
